The Problem
410 SportsTalk is an up and coming Maryland sports podcast. They are actively trying to grow their platform. They are featured on a few local podcast sites which gives them a platform to advertise their website. Their primary marketing approach was to build a webpage that directed users to their youtube site.
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
Most podcast website use their platform to generate viewership of their actual podcast rather than increase their youtube views. 410 SportsTalk primarily wants to focus on youtube viewership and subscription rather than directing traffic to their podcast channel.

In Figma I created wireframes of potential layout designs based on the features that were deemed important by the client. Since the goal is to drive users to their youtube page, their latest youtube video needed to be at the top of the page. It was also important to have an upcoming events/shows section and a section about who they are.
Usability Testing + Improvements
Mockup Design
The initial design had two pages; the home page and a video page. The background was black and the highlight color was based on the color of their logo.
Reflection
This process involved a lot of communication with the podcasters which was challenging at times due to conflicting schedules and working remotely . It required flexibility and understanding. I worked very closely with the podcasters to bring their vision to life and it was a great collaborative experience especially since it was their first time working with a UX designer. For the next steps their should be an implementation of google analytics to see the actual traffic of the page.
